Greg Paramor
IHA Board Chair, AO

Non-Executive Director of Charter Hall Group, and Former Managing Director of Folkestone
Greg has more than 45 years’ experience in the real estate and funds management industry and is a Non-Executive Director of the Charter Hall Group. Greg is the former Managing Director of Folkestone Limited which was acquired by Charter Hall Group in November 2018. Greg was the co-founder of Growth Equities Mutual, Paladin Australia, and the James Fielding Group and CEO of Mirvac Group between 2004 and 2008. He is a past president of both the Property Council of Australia and Investment Funds Association. Greg is the current Chair of BackTrack, an organisation assisting vulnerable young people, and a board member of the Sydney Swans and Sydney Swans Foundation. Previously, Greg held Board seats at the National Breast Cancer Foundation and was a founding Director of the Property Industry Foundation supporting a wide range of charities.

JO-ANNE HEWITT
Director

Jo-Anne Hewitt is Chief Executive Officer at Achieve Australia where she is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the organisation and delivery of quality service and outcomes. Achieve Australia is a for-purpose community organisation that has been providing supports and services to people with disability since 1952. Achieve champions social inclusion, focusing on the individual needs and lives of people through service delivery as well as promoting research innovation and advocacy via the Achieve Foundation. Prior to her appointment as CEO 5 years ago, Jo-Anne had extensive experience in the not-for-profit sector, leading complex organisations through periods of significant growth and transformation. Jo-Anne holds a Master of Arts (Psychology) and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She has served on a number of Not-For-Profit Boards including seven years as Chair of Centre for Disability Studies, an internationally recognised research and training body affiliated with University of Sydney.

 
 
LAWRIE GIBBS
Board Member

Lawrie is Managing Director and co-founder of BG Capital Corporation Pty Limited in 2000. Lawrie has over 40 years’ experience in the financial services industry. BG Capital specialises in M & A, strategic advice and equity capital markets. Primarily focused on the listed and unlisted property, funds management, capital market sectors and resources. Previously Lawrie was Head of Investment Banking-Corporate Finance at Burdett Buckeridge Young (“BBY”) for 9 years. During this time, Lawrie was Corporate advisor and Transaction leader in over 60 transactions in market sectors including; Property, Telecommunications, Health Care, Recruitment, Technology and Diversified Mid-Cap Industrials. Lawrie commenced his career in corporate advisory, M&A and equity capital markets, at Pittsburgh National Bank and previously as an equities analyst or Investment Manager for a number of major financial institutions including Westpac Banking Corporation, Mercantile Mutual, and General Accident Fire & Life.

Wally Phillips
Director

Wally joined Achieve Australia in 2019 as Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Wally is responsible for overall strategic financial planning and reporting, as well as providing leadership, direction, and management of the technology, property, corporate services, and finance teams. Previously, Wally held a range of executive finance roles in global commercial entities. His experience in the not-for-profit space includes 3 years as CFO for Afford (Australia Foundation for Disability). Wally is a Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and is Big 4 trained through Deloitte (South Africa).
